Dear Editor,
This is in response to correspondence with reference to my article published recently titled, "Superficial large basal cell carcinoma over face, reconstructed by V-Y plasty". [1] I thank you very much for going through my article and raising concern about some of the points you respectfully disagreed.
Indeed, Mohs micrographic surgery is the first mode of treatment and gold standard for large infiltrative tumours. However facilities and trained personnel for Mohs micrographic surgery are not routinely available, even in large centres. I totally agree with your point that histological cure, which was not mentioned is important.
Thank you very much for your valuable time and comments.
